Lisa J. Delaney, Esquire is a known authority with a stellar record of practicing all facets of real estate law.  Her practice centers on large commercial transactions where she excels at complex title research and provides methodically written, detailed analysis of clear and concise facts.  She negotiates and drafts commercial contracts with a focus on leasing and purchase agreements.  In addition to her own clients, Attorney Delaney’s practice includes title counsel for other attorneys and provides title and closing services, litigation consultation, and appearances as Land Court Examiner or expert witness in title litigation matters.  She also provides a full-service residential practice to homeowners, buyers and sellers.

Attorney Delaney is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association (REBA) and is active on both the Standards and Forms Committee and the Legislation Section.  She is a principal drafter of the Massachusetts Homestead Statute and several of REBA’s Title Standards and Forms. She is a frequent seminar panelist for REBA and has spoken on homestead, agricultural/horticultural law, mortgage discharge curative statutes and obscure title issues.  In addition to REBA, Attorney Delaney is an annual seminar panelist for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) on the process and ethics throughout a residential transaction.

Lisa began her real estate career as a title examiner performing research at the Registry of Deeds.  She expanded her experiences during her studies at Suffolk University Law School, including an internship at the Greater Boston Legal Services in marriage and domestic issues, and drafting briefs and pleadings for a criminal defense attorney.

Lisa is an Examiner for the Massachusetts Land Court, and a member of the Massachusetts State Bar, United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the United States Supreme Court Bar.

Lisa is a member of ProVisors, a national networking organization connecting senior level trusted advisors, participating in the Hingham-1 Chapter and the Boston Real Estate Affinity Group as well as guest participation in other meetings.

Lisa holds the rank of 3rd Duan in Tai Chi at Excel Martial Arts, where she is also an instructor to both adults and special needs adult students.  She is the Chairperson of One Book, One Town: Sharon Reads Together (OBOT) that presents entertaining and enrichment programs centered on the themes of that year’s chosen book.
